Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and competes in the UFC flyweight division. Valentina is her older sister and a fellow UFC participant. Antonina Shevchenko's professional career in combat sport began as a Muay Thai athlete. Shevchenko debuted on the IFMA World Championship Tournament in 2003. Shevchenko took the title after which she defeated Suzane Mller by unanimous vote. Antonina received a gold medal in 2007, a silver medal in 2008, a silver in 2007, she also won a bronze medal in 2008 and a medal with gold in 2011. She was also crowned IFMA World Amateur Muaythai Champion of 2016 by IFMA. Antonia launched her professional career when she was in the year 2003. She has taken home numerous awards, such as the K-1 World Champion, the Lion Fight Lightweight Championships and WMC as well as Phoenix FC World Championships. Antonina's last fight was at the Phoenix Fighting Championship against Isa Tidblad Keskikangas. The victory was achieved by unanimity. Antonina Shevchenko set her professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She took the title with a TKO at the end of round 2 and went on to win her two fights following in the WXF X-Impact World Championships of 2003. She was awarded the record of 3-0 in MMA. Shevchenko went on a hiatus from MMA in order to concentrate on her kickboxing and came back against Anissa Haddaoui in Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko defeated Anissa in a unanimously-decided match after which she beat Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. The league was dissolved in 2018, Shevchenko was a part of Dana White's Contender Series. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina displayed her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera using knees. Antonina Shevchenko received the UFC Contract after this victory. Antonina was able to make her UFC debut in the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko defeated Roxanne Modeafferi with a unanimous decision. But, she was unable to win her next bout due to an unanimous verdict. Antonina recovered from this loss by defeating Lucie Pudilova on UFC on ESPN Covington against Lawler by a rear-naked choke submission. The result earned her the fight-of-the-night bonus. Shevchenko fell to Katlyn and Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She fought Ariane Lipski but she was also defeated by Ariane. Antonina has recently been defeated by Casey O'Neill in UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
